Welcome

Greetings! My Name is Nicole.

My family and I share a life and home with our Alaskan Malamutes, and a creative combo of other animals, within the shelter of a cozy pine forest near Georgian Bay Ontario.

We are fortunate to be able to enjoy the great outdoors on several picturesque nature trails  right outside our door.

Many of our greatest adventures take place here at Howling Pines with our malamutes, family and friends.

As we introduce you to our world and our Alaskan Malamutes, we hope that you will gain knowledge and appreciation for one of the most ancient, intriguing, amicable, and natural, working breeds in the history of the dog world!

My daughters say I love my dogs more than them...how'l I convince them...they've been 'sled astray

OUR NEWS & BLOG

ABOUT

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

Alaskan Malamutes are a fulfilling part of our lives, however they are not a breed for everyone.

Please be sure to take plenty of time to explore the many resources available, to help you understand this magnificent breed. I am happy to chat and arrange a visit so that you can meet us and our dogs. This enables us to establish a relationship and gives you an opportunity to learn about our dogs lifestyle, personalities and temperaments. This will also help you get to know our breed and what we do here at Howling Pines.

We are a preservationist breeder...What does this mean? It means, we feel it is our responsibility as a purebred dog breeder, to preserve and protect our breed's history, purpose, function and future.

We are committed to careful selection and maintaining the physical and characteristic traits of the Alaskan Malamute, as stated in our Breed Standard. By careful selection, breeders can have predictable outcomes with regard to these traits, as well as heritable conditions and overall health.

As preservationist breeders, we breed selectively to ensure that the breed's construction, health and character remain intact. Knowing what to expect can also help prospective new dog owners decide whether or not The Alaskan Malamute(or any purebred dog) is the right companion for their family.

We hope you enjoy browsing our website! Feel free to contact us with questions on getting to know the Alaskan Malamute, for all we have experienced they can be in our 27 years.
